Pueraria Mirifica is a plant that grows in the forests of northern and north-eastern Thailand. For centuries, the Thais have used the roots of Pueraria Mirifica as traditional medicine, taking advantage of the plant’s anti-ageing and rejuvenation properties to promote youthfulness in women. Pueraria Mirifica is considered one of Thailand’s national treasures.

The main phytochemicals found in Pueraria Mirifica are phytoestrogens, including miroestrol, deoxymirestrol and isoflavonoids - these mimic the healthy functions of the female hormone, estrogen. Containing high levels of phytoestrogens, Pueraria Mirifica is often used in herbal supplements that are formulated for the management of menopausal symptoms and other health conditions associated with low estrogen levels.

Documented for its potent antioxidant properties, multiple studies have proven that Pueraria Lobata has estrogenic effects, and can be used as a natural alternative to hormone replacement therapy. In addition to properties that effectively treat menopause symptoms, maintain bone, liver, and cartilage health and antioxidants that prevent oxidative stress, this ingredient is interestingly known in Latin as “Connected with youth.”
