Balanced Hormone: Why are they important?

Mental, physical, and emotional factors all affect our overall health as women. Still, there’s another factor you’ve probably heard of but may not be paying enough attention to are balanced hormones.

Why are balanced hormones important?

Hormones act as messengers. After secreting from their respective glands into the bloodstream, they travel to different parts of the body to give instruction. Since hormones regulate most of our physiological as well as psychological functions, an imbalance compromises our very ability to live a healthy life.

A healthy hormone balance:

  1. Boost brain functions

  2. Protects your operating system

Hormonal imbalances can contribute to cognitive issues such as a shortened attention span, memory gaps, and losing one’s train of thought.

Foods that are rich in antioxidants and omega 3 fatty acids will encourage hormonal health. Getting enough sleep nightly and regular daily exercise are also good for your hormones.

Hormones keep your body running smoothly. They help fight harmful bacteria and viruses and promote an overall clean function, including feeling good and a more youthful appearance.
